Water Exposures

white-boarderHeaded down to the beach this morning and was hoping for nice cloud cover and great light after I have missed it all over the last few weeks .

Unfortantly there was not a cloud to be seen and just got a pastel sky , so just chucked on the 17 -40 mm lens and played around with some exposures on the water .

  3. Considering the bland skies we had this morning Kirk this came out pretty nice … Enjoy your trip north, cya when you get back ….

  4. I like this mate! The water movement is great!

  5. nice movement mate.

  6. Nice shot Kirk, great sense of movement.

  7. do you know how long the exposure was for this? I’m keen on trying this swish water effect

    • Hi Katie , this shot was about 1.6 seconds , but was experminting that morning from shots 1 second to 3 seconds . You dont want to keep the shutter open too long otherwise it will just become a misty look

  8. Great landscape. Nice composition and mood.

  9. Nice shot Kirk, Simple but effective with the water movement :)
